Lecture performance (9:41 minute runtime) with companion Virtual Reality experience.

Ssuk dduk; a traditional Korean mugwort rice cake; tells, glimpses, theorizes, mystifies, clarifies, obscures, reworks, rethinks, reclaims the story of my familial ancestry and heritage. By examining the foodway of this dish in various temporal lenses, the mugwort rice cake offers a new way to contextualize my family’s past and invigorate agent choices me and my family can make in the present and future.
