underoverwhelmed()
Performance, projection, interactive sound and visual, custom app, creative coding, generative collage. underoverwhelmed() is a one-woman show delving into the idea of what is programmed (socially, genetically, culturally, familial) and uses the throughline of Korean pop music and beauty culture as a method to examine and critique the performance of expectation. The show centers around the plot of a cyborg breaking apart the system into what is “re-programmed” by agency, defiance, unlearning and reclaiming.
This variety show includes a variety of interactive sketches, an app that attendees can access to live draw together and manipulate the show’s visuals.
