ABOUT ME

Chelly Jin (she/her) is a Korean American new media artist employing technology as a conduit for expressing and exploring spaces between belonging, performing, and healing. Her practice weaves experimental methods with interdisciplinary forms: expressive and poetic programming, co-opting algorithms for self-inquiry, and bridging web, multimedia, installation, movement, sound, and performance.

She is currently an MFA candidate in Media Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned her BA in Design Media Art and Digital Humanities. Her most recent performances, underoverwhelmed() and do.we.touch, were shown at Experimental Media Arts, LA and A+E Lab, UK.
